Most recently, the Committee has been finding ways in which we can implement the Membership survey results and feedback.

Title:  Collaborative Lesson Research: What can we learn from Japanese models of professional development?

Abstract:  The Collaborative Lesson Research (CLR) is an independent group of educators with an objective to improve student learning and teaching practices through collaborative action research in classrooms.  CLR takes its inspiration from Lesson Study methods used in Japan, which is a key factor behind Japan’s excellence in teaching practices and well-trained teachers.  CLR promotes the development and dissemination of high quality Lesson Study practices adapted to fit the UK environment.

Date:  Thursday 7th November 2019, 4:30 - 6pm  All meetings begin at 4.30pm with tea/coffee provided from 4pm.

Venue:  University of Cambridge, Faculty of Mathematics, Wilberforce Road, Cambridge CB3 0WA.
