The committee exists to promote the professional development of teachers of mathematics.

Most recently, the Committee has been finding ways in which we can implement the Membership survey results and feedback.

Developing Mathematical discussion

Following his very successful webinar on Metacognition, Nathan Burns, Mr Metacognition himself, has agreed to take a deeper look into some of the topics he touched briefly upon in April. 

Developing Mathematical Discussion

 Effective discussion in the Maths classroom is not just one of the best ways to support improved mathematical attainment, but also to improve subject enjoyment.

 This session will explore a range of different approaches that we can take in the Mathematics classroom that can support effective discussion, that you can instantly implement into your classroom!

 With a range of examples given, and opportunity for participants to discuss these ideas themselves, this is a talk not to miss out on! Suitable for teachers in all age phases.
